Powder Brows

Why Eyebrows powder brows?

At Eyebrows Secret we can achieve amazing results because our unique approach to Powder Brows comes from our ability to customized it to your look and lifestyle. When consulting with our master artist, they ensure that a discussion about how dense you want your brows to look takes place. The art in shading is to layer the pixels perfectly without appearing denser and darker than your natural eyebrow hair. Our Master Artist is able to do just that so when you walk out of the Eyebrows Secret Studio, your brows appear the most natural.

Frequently Asked Question

Ombre brows, also known as Powdered Brows, are a semi-permanent eyebrow styling technique that creates a soft shaded brow pencil look. This amazing technique, first developed in Asia, has been around for decades and has been gradually improving over the years. It gives great definition & depth to the eyebrows. It is particularly recommended for women with oily skin or combination skin or anyone who fills in their brows regularly with pencil or shadow.

The biggest difference between the two semi-permanent eyebrow styling techniques is how the pigment is deposited into the skin. Microblading uses a handheld tool to carve small cuts into the skin, whereas Ombre brows are done using a machine.

Ombre brows can last anywhere from two to five years. The retention will depend on a number of factors, such as lifestyle, skin type, sun exposure, health condition, etc.

Microblading is a semi permanent technique using color pigment drawn onto the skin giving you natural looking eyebrows.

The technique used is natural feathering of hair like strokes creating a beautifully designed set of brows. It’s like imitating your hair growth into fine lines and filling the gaps thus defining a 3D definition with a fuller and thicker finish. Microblading typically lasts 1-3 years, depending on skin type and skincare routine.

Microblading, semi-permanent technique of hyper-realistic eyebrow drawing in which the shape of eyebrows is calculated according to the facial morphology and golden mean (phi1,618). The technique is intended for anyone over the age of 18 (persons under 18 must be accompanied by their parents) who wants to correct the aesthetic problems of their eyebrows.

Treatment is done by using sterile and disposable tools, while pigments are of the highest standard.

Some residual swelling is normal for ALL procedures.

The area may appear uneven, dry, itchy, tender, red & irritated. This is all 100% normal.  DO NOT PICK.   These symptoms will dissipate each day and vary on an individual basis.
Color WILL fade/soften anywhere from 40% to 60%.  At the touch up we will fine tune any area that has faded too much.

Healing is specific to each client. It is important to realize that you will need a color boost every 1-2 yrs to maintain its fresh natural appearance. Fading will happen after each procedure. We do not have control over your bodies healing process. You may need to powder and/or pencil even after the healed results. This is an enhancement to your brows not a permanent one.
If they fade more than you like, it is ok to pencil or powder until your scheduled appointment. This is an enhancement and will never be a permanent solution.

Permanent Makeup is an art, not a science. Clients results will vary and using a pencil or powder may still be needed. We have no control over your bodies healing process and each time a procedure is done, the pigment will have less retention due to scar tissue. Remember, no two sides of the face are the same. Perfection is our goal but brows are sisters, not twins.

Absolutely no water on them, Sun, Sweating, Exercise or Exertion of any kind prior to the procedure or after the procedure for 10 days.

NO SUN 2 WEEKS PRIOR & 3 WEEKS AFTER THE PROCEDURE. 1 DAY WILL RUIN THE RESULTS IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THE 10 DAY AFTERCARE PROTOCOL.

Do not work out the day of the procedure as the body heat expands the pores. It is recommended not to sweat (heavily) for the first 10-14 days after the procedure. Sweat is salt and WILL prematurely fade, blur or cause the pigment not to take at all.

Avoid direct shower water on the treated area after the procedure. Apply the product given to you prior to showering to prevent soaps and shampoos from getting on the treated area, then gently wipe it off. Absolutely NOTHING on the treated area..no hot water, no makeup, lotions, pencil…etc. for 10 to 14 days… Avoid scrubbing the treated area for at least 1 month.

A consultation is not necessary.

However, we recommend contacting us if you have any of the following:

1. Problematic skin
2. Have serious health issues
3. Take certain prescription medications
5. Already have an old PMU on your eyebrows.

Before the treatment, get to know well the post-treatment care procedure. Healed results will vary with each individual client. No guarantees can or will be made. Additional sessions (at a minimum charge) may be required to obtain optimal results. We have the right to refuse any client. Although we give our best efforts to provide you with quality service, many factors can result in a less than desired outcome as each client will heal differently.

The Healing Process

Taking care of your new brows after treatment is extremely important to how your eyebrows will look after they are fully healed and the longevity of your eyebrows.

AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

DAY 1

Keep clean and dry, do not touch your eyebrows! They may feel tender and appear a little red.

DAY 2 - 7

Brows will start developing a thin layer of scab, continue keeping your brows dry and clean.

Apply a rice grain amount of aftercare ointment on each eyebrow with a cotton swab and clean hands.

Spread a VERY THIN layer of the ointment across the treated area every morning and night.

Brows should not appear greasy, glossy or shiny. If so you used too much, as this can suffocate the skin and delay healing.

Never apply ointment on wet or damp tattoo. Continue ointment until your brows are no longer scabbing.

7 DAYS PRIOR

DO NOT pluck, wax, tint, thread, or apply any hair removal

DO NOT use Retinols/Retin-A or other anti-aging/acne creams

DO NOT apply on eyebrows any serums containing acids

DAY 10+

Brows are safe from water.

You may return to normal skincare routines.

Brows will appear very light, after scabs comes off, every week up to 6 weeks color will continue to surface and brows will get darker and even.

DAY 28 - 42

Your brows are healed and you're feeling unstoppable!!!

Maintaining Your Brows

A new set of Powder brows eyebrows takes two appointments to complete and for that reason your 6-8 weeks touchup appointment. After the first touch-up appointment we recommend a yearly touchup to maintain the crispness and freshness of your brows. However, we do offer different touchup schedules because everyone experience the fading process differently and may need to get a touchup sooner than one year.

Natural fading occurs from external factors such as exposure to the sun as well as internal factors such as the gradual break down of pigments as your body metabolizes it out of your system. Everyone can experience the fading process differently and it really comes down to skin type and lifestyle.
