What is Microblading?
Just imagine waking up in the morning and instantly being ready for the day. You can head straight to the gym or bus stop with confidence. Take a swim in the pool, head to a meeting when you’re short on time, or just snuggle close with a loved one – all with the confidence that your makeup is perfectly in place.
Microblading is the new-ish, semi-permanent technique typically used on eyebrows to create, enhance or reshape their appearance in terms of both shape and color. It deposits pigment into the upper region of the dermis, so it fades more rapidly than traditional tattooing techniques, which deposit pigment deeper. The actual technique of implanting pigment into fine incisions in the skin goes back thousands of years but gained popularity for use with eyebrows in Asia with the feathering or embroidery trend. Later known as microblading, it involves using a specialized manual hand tool.
Rather than giving you a block of color like traditional tattooing, fine strokes are done by hand to create the illusion of real hairs, which is why those on the search for brow perfection prefer it.
